The constitutionality of the barrier clause of Brazilian political parties from the perspective of independent candidacy

Abstract:

The brief article aims to analyze what political parties are, their form of creation, resourcefulness, the changes that were imposed by the constitutional amendment No. 97, more precisely known as the Barrier Clause / Performance Clause. Likewise, it seeks to analyze the
possible single candidatures, which is currently considered unconstitutional by the Federal Constitution of 1988, but which is still a study opportunity for those curious about the highlighted subject.
