Abstract:
This article discuss the context in which the Brazilian Liberal Institutes grown all over the 80’s as a movement linked to the changes that occurred in the communication channels between the Brazilian business community and the political elites, and how these institutes became the main center of diffusion of the liberal economic ideas. From this initial discussion, a wide view from the action of the founders of the Liberal Institute of Paraná is done, as well as the strategies used by the Paraná’s business community to disseminate their ideas. Concluding the article, we deal with the closeness between the liberal speech – which tends to be apolitical – and the electoral campaigns, and we observe the growth of the parties reputable as in the left wing.
