ABSTRACT:
This article aims to conduct a survey on the multiparty system and its current situation in Brazil, initially will address what are the main features of the system deployed as entrenchment clause in the 1988 Constitution, what are its causes and purposes. After that, there will be a survey in relation to the system imperfections, focusing on deformations caused this by the current national political system, especially in relation to permissiveness provided by this as the alarming increase in the number of party labels, which have been a major contributor to the political instability faced by the Brazilian Republic. Will attempt to demonstrate how the difficulties faced by the model directly influenced in the current situation of national crisis setting.
